A question about a repair we did
Call and ask. Have the date of the visit and the year, make and model handy, and we’ll pull it up.
Keep it running
- Oil change reminder: work out when your next change is due.
- Read your tire: size, age and tread in about a minute.
- 3D guides: see where the parts are on a vehicle like yours, and when they need attention.
- Batteries: we’re an Interstate Batteries authorized dealer, and the rack is in the front office.
Pickup day
Picking up your vehicle
Six things worth doing at the counter, for any shop. Your ticks stay on your phone.
- Read the invoice against what you approved on the phone.
- Ask about anything on it that you don’t recognize.
- Ask what was replaced and what was only checked.
- Ask if anything else needs attention soon, and roughly when.
- Keep the invoice with your records.
- On the drive home, listen and feel for what you came in for.

The paperwork
What the paper at a repair shop is for.
Seven lines, and what each one does for you. Tap one.
- Date and your name. This is the basic ID of the paper. It ties the work to you and your vehicle.
- Your vehicle. It says which vehicle the paper is about.
- What you asked us to look at. The problem as you described it, so everyone starts from the same page.
- Written estimate. California’s Automotive Repair Act gives you a written estimate before any work starts.
- Your OK. Nothing is done, or added, without your authorization. If the job grows, you are asked again.
- Itemized invoice. You get an itemized invoice that lists parts and labor.
- Your old parts. You can have your replaced parts back if you ask for them when you authorize the work.
